Oaklands Retreat is located on a 350-hectare former stud farm situated in the mountains at the top of the Bovlei Valley, 8 km outside of Wellington. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, mountains and fynbos, it is the ideal place to relax.
The farm occupies the upper catchment of the Kromme River that flows through the town of Wellington. It is flanked to the east by the Limietberg Mountains and to the west by the Groeinberg, both of which form part of the Cape Floral Kingdom World Heritage Site. The farm boasts wonderful fynbos and riverine vegetation, pristine streams and glorious mountain bike and walking trails. The views are inspiring, the sense of remoteness beguiling.
Accommodation is offered in two self-catering cottages, namely Aloe Cottage and Arum Cottage. Each cottage features two bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave and all other necessary equipment. Linen and towels are also provided.
