Kunguru Lodge is in the heart of the Elgin Valley, just past the town of Grabouw. The magnificent gardens, with an array of natural Fynbos and a swimming pool deck provide a perfect setting for the lodge. <br /><br />The accommodation comprises 24 rooms, 13 en-suite timber cabins, an Ark styled boat and 10 en-suite safari style tents under canvas. All rooms have coffee stations, hairdryers on request from reception and electric blankets. <br /><br />The lodge has a very relaxed ambiance, offering a home away from home feel. The Wildcats Pub and Restaurant is available to all in-house guests and pre-booked functions.<br /><br />It is a popular venue for individuals, companies, conferences and special functions. Just one hour from Cape Town, it is very conveniently, placed as a base to visit many major attractions such as the Great White Sharks, Hermanus, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and the burgeoning Elgin Valley wine estates. <br /><br />Adventure activities are also offered from the lodge, and these include clay pigeon and hand gun shooting, archery and air rifles, amazing races, volley ball, quad bikes, nature walks and incredible single track mountain biking trails. <br /><br />Our conference facilities offer an alternative to the norm of the city hotels and conference venues. In a rustic setting, surrounded by lush gardens and orchards, our venue can accommodate up to 70 delegates for day conferences and smaller groups in different seating formats. <br /><br />A total of 46 guests based on twin sharing can be accommodated in the lodge for overnight groups. An option of triple share for groups up to 65 pax is available. <br /><br />Facilities include standard equipment of flip chart, white board, data projector, conference area set up including peppermints, jugs of water, cordial, note pads and pens. Choose from theatre style, seating 70 delegates; Classroom style seating 40 delegates, U-shape seating 30 delegates, Board Room seating 20 delegates.
