Overview
Ons Boshuisie is a private 110 hectares bush camp situated approximately 28 km outside Swartruggens in the North-West Province, offering a single self-catering bush cabin, ideal for families or a small group of friends. The private cabin is hidden in a valley at the foot of a hillside, close to what is known as Klein Tafelkop with big rocks, indigenous bush, and trees.

The cabin is perfectly located for your getaway to the bush, where you can escape into a relaxed and undisturbed weekend in a natural environment. Long walks, and watching the sunset and sunrise in the heart of the bush, with a good chance of seeing any one of our four species of antelope and some natural wildlife.

We also have very good 3G reception if you needed to.

Rock climbing for the adventurous type and mountain bikers are also welcome. Our roads are only suitable for high clearance vehicles with a minimum ground clearance of 40cm.

Nothing better to soothe that tired soul, than to be close to nature. We keep it close to nature with no electricity, but we do have an on-site generator that is available for your personal use.

Cooking is done on the gas stove, or by the fireside, enhancing that bush feeling, your basic needs fulfilled with our kitchen stocked with the basic eating and cooking utensils. We also have a gas refrigerator for your convenience, and, to enhance the bush life, a "donkey" (a hot water system which you heat up by making a fire in it) is provided to make your own hot water. The cabin is lit up with lights powered by solar panels, and also works for cell phone chargers.

The point of Ons Boshuisie is to get back to the basics and above all, to relax. Ons Boshuisie is all about relaxing and rejuvenating, start breathing again, listen to the singing of the birds in the bush, living outdoors, having a braai, getting up early in the morning to watch the sunrise, all undisturbed.
